I think this is a very interesting article. Since the demand for supplies is increasing so much, the stores thought this would be a good opportunity to make money by increasing profits for the limited supplies. This article is arguing that idea by looking at it through a realistic standpoint and saying if families in an increasingly poor town have to get a large amount of supplies and can’t afford it, it’s not fair to raise the prices especially in a crisis. I understand the store’s point from a business perspective but I don’t think it’s fair to take advantage of the people in the town especially in a crisis.

I think this is important because we are being notified about what’s happening in the world and we can be more aware of how this hurricane is affecting people and how it will affect the states.
