The End of DACA: What We Know and Don’t Know

The Trump administration is getting rid of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. DACA protects immigrants who arrived as children and allows them to attend public colleges with in-state tuition and get drivers licenses among other things. There are over 800,000 'dreamers' signed up for DACA and all of them will be deported despite the fact they grew up here and call America home. This is important because all of these immigrants who came to America at a young age with their parents and no choice will be deported. Its horrible that the government is kicking people who have grown up in America out and forcing them back to where they were born despite it being a very foreign place to them.

Hurricane Irma, Packing 185-M.P.H. Winds, Makes Landfall in Caribbean

Hurricane Irma, a category five storm and one of the worst Atlantic storms recorded, is currently hitting islands in the Caribbean. It has already caused incredible amounts of destruction and is set to hit Puerto Rico and Florida. A large part of Florida has already called for evacuations. This is important because a large amount of people will be affected and in need of help.
