What Do You Call An Opinion Piece on Toenails?

an Op Edicure

Op-Ed: If he did nothing wrong, why did Michael Flynn lie?
This piece is largely based off one Trump Tweet (Twump? Treet? Tweemp?) about the firing of Michael Flynn. It explains why the statements he makes in the tweet are so 'alarming' and what one can infer using this information. Although the piece is obviously written by an anti-Trump author, it has plenty of evidence to back up its claims.

  1. I agree. I think the effective use of probing questions helps the readers to follow the writer's arguments. And the fact that the writer predicted counter arguments to his own and rejected them makes his arguments seem more thorough and persuasive.

  2. This article was very effective. I agree that it is evident this piece is written by someone who is anti-Trump, but that isn't an issue in an opinion piece. I agree as well that the biggest reason this article was so effective is that the use of evidence was done extremely well.
